Canvas Discussion Post

You can create discussion posts in Canvas that includes a video, image, and other stimulus. You can also set up the discussion posts of others to be hidden until after the student responds. This setting makes sure that they are answering the questions independently. You can have the students respond to their peers and collaborate. This video walks you through how to get it set up!

Square Line Frame

WORLD BOOK ONLINE

Did you know that every MPS student has access to World Book Online through their Clever Portal? It's listed under the Research category of apps.

Students can always use extra practice conducting research! Why not take advantage of these virtual days to encourage your students to spend some time researching topics related to your recent units covered in your class?

Click here to watch videos such as How to Do Research, accessing Interactive Images, utilizing the Biography Center, viewing Article Contents, and using the Citation Builder: Video Tutorials for Students

Ed Puzzle

K-12th Grade (All Subjects) EdPuzzle can be found in the Clever Library. Assignments can be created from scratch by starting with a video and adding questions or choose from one of the many premade assignments available in the EdPuzzle library. The premade assignments can be edited to suit the needs of a class or differentiated based on specific student need. Once students have completed the assignment the teacher has access to student data to inform instruction. Students receive immediate feedback on auto graded answers (short answer requires teacher scoring).

Canva

"Creativity, critical thinking, design, and visual communication are central to preparing our students for the world outside of school. Canva fosters these skills by making it easy to produce and complete group projects, videos, posters and more."

You can encourage students to share what they've learned by creating their own expressions of knowledge using tools in the Canva platform, such as presentations, posters, infographics, and even concept maps.

Teachers and students can access CANVA through the Clever portal.
